It is a stupendous task to provide timely help to all such children housed in institutions and orphanages under Social Welfare Department. If bigger sums can be set apart for the care of these helpless children, increased care and solace can be meted out to them. We can become a self-respecting and dignified society by alleviating the pain and sorrow of these children.

Deposit Adds to Social Happiness

You can join hands with the Kerala Social Security Mission to help these children by contributing to the Karunya Deposit Scheme. The option is to deposit Rs. 1 lakh or its multiples to a specific account of the Mission opened in the treasury for the purpose. For each deposit of Rs. 1 lakh the patient will get Rs. 15000 for meeting his/her special needs.

The depositor will have the choice to select the child, the orphanage, the special school, area etc. and leave further selection of the beneficiary to the head of the institution, orphanage, special school or to the Mission. The deposit can be renewed or withdrawn on an annual basis.
